There was a service of commemoration at Hacheston for our departed loved ones on the festival of All Souls at 6.30pm on Monday 2nd November. Sadly, because of the second National Lockdown, only a Zoom service could be held on Remembrance Sunday and the bells could not be rung half-muffled because of the social distancing requirement. However, a single ringer could still toll the Tenor which was felt to be a suitable tribute to the fallen. At Hacheston, at 10.30am, it was tolled 75 times to mark the number of years since the end of WW2 prior to the televised national Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph at 11am.
