Hacheston has a printed Guide booklet which has been revised and expanded several times over the years. The latest edition is Hacheston: The History of All Saints Church which is available for visitors to the church to purchase (price £1.50). Copies can be found on the table at the West end of the church and money should be put in the wall safe adjacent to the main West door. The booklet gives the history of the church from the C9 to the the end of the C20 and includes drawings and photographs. There is also a numbered plan guiding visitors to points of interest around the interior and exterior of the church which they may find useful. The booklet extends "grateful thanks to all those who have provided information about Hacheston Church and Parish, especially our senior citizens. Also to the many who have given practical help, hard work and advice".
With the creation of the church website, the aim is to update the Guide, and make it available in electronic format for visitors to the church to follow on their smartphones and tablets as they walk around the church. This is a big project for us, so for the moment we have put extracts from the present Guide online; these are accessible from the links to the left of this page.
Grateful thanks are extended to Susie Dyer for keying these in.
