Visitors to All Saints' Church are most welcome and there is much for you to see and enjoy in our beautiful church and churchyard. Please be aware, however, that our church is a mediaeval building and that the floor of the church is uneven. There are also various height steps throughout the church which all pose a trip hazard. The pews are old and may be slightly unstable. For visiting bell-ringers, the stairs to the Ringing chamber are non-standard and require care, especially when descending.
Please be aware as you walk around the churchyard that the ground is uneven. Please ensure, if you use the gate in the fenced-off area of the churchyard, that it is properly closed when you leave.
In the event of fire, please be aware there is no exit via the vestry; you must leave the church by the main west door that you came in by.
Notices relating to Health and Safety and to action in the event of Fire are displayed in the church. Special notices relating to visiting bell-ringers are displayed in the ringing chamber (please note; the ringing chamber is kept locked and is not accessible for general visitors). Please read them and follow the instructions on them if an accident or fire occurs.
For details, see the church's full Health and Safety Policy . There are Notices displayed in the church relating to Health and Safety and action to take in the event of Fire (document in pdf format).
Please note that our church has no toilet facilities; the nearest public toilets are off the main square in Wickham Market (approx. 1.5 miles). There is parking in the churchyard but the church is on a dangerous bend so please take care when entering or exiting. Alternative parking is available at Hacheston Village Hall on the opposite side of the road and slightly closer to the centre of the village.
Please take care and enjoy your time here.
